The best in north London
We came here on a busy Friday night, lucky we booked!
This place is awesome. Truly exceeded our expectations. Nice happy atmosphere and classy feel – almost seems out of place in this part of north London.
Very welcoming and attentive staff. There was such a range of people in here, from couples to groups of family and friends, young and old. Some celebrating, some on a date and some, like us, who just wanted to have a nice relaxing evening eating awesome food. The evening felt intimate without it being pretentious like so many of the Indian restaurant/club/bar type places tend to be.
The food was exceptional. An interesting menu with some wonderful sounding dishes that I hadn’t encountered before. We had some veggies in our group and, therefore, I ended up sampling lots of food I wouldn’t normally order (being a strict meat eater!). The vegetable manchurian, baingan bharta, tandoori mushrooms, bhojpuri mogo were as good as any non-veg dish. Needless to say the meat dishes were tasty and so well cooked we spent the next day still discussing how good the food was!
We had a lovely evening here. We didn’t feel rushed or like they wanted to turn the table over (not like in the nearby Purple Flame, Spice Rack Lounge, Regency, Everest, Abacorn, etc). We spent close to 4 hours here enabling us to have a drink before we ordered, take our time, chat and feel like we were able to have a proper evening in relaxed surroundings.
Now there are a plethora of Indian restaurants/clubs in north London that serve similar food (and we have been to all of them!). This place trumps them all in terms of quality of food, service, atmosphere and value for money. We were truly impressed and can’t wait to return.
